Reynolds Nabs Grayshirt

With a little more than a week to go before national signing day, Iowa continued to work on filling out its 2014 Class. On Monday morning, the Hawkeyes extended a grayshirt offer to '14 Waukee offensive lineman Ross Reynolds.

It's late in the recruiting cycle which usually means good things for Iowa high school seniors. Ross Reynolds realizes that after meeting with Hawkeye Assistant Reese Morgan.

Iowa has a strong history of offering in-state players opportunities in January and February after evaluating senior film. Many of those guys have been productive players.

Morgan extended a grayshirt to Reynolds Monday morning. The 6-foot-4, 275-pound offensive lineman planned an official visit to the school this weekend.

Reynolds said that Morgan told him that a possibility exists that he will be offered a scholarship for the fall. With the grayshirt, he would walk on for the '14 season before being put on scholarship in January.

Hawkeye Insider is set to interview Reynolds tonight and will add more of his thoughts to this story at that time.
