Ed Hinkel is switching positions. What is the main reason for the move? A lot keeps happening in Iowa City, as everyone is anticipating a good season. Only HTO.com has the lastest exclusive news to bring you........

True Freshman Ed Hinkel has moved from Free Safety to Wide Receiver. This is the position that Ed played in high school his Junior season, and the position many colleges recruited him to play.

The reason for this move is the injuries being suffered at the WR position right now. Tim Dodge, CJ Jones, and Maurice Brown are all nursing injuries right now. However, none of them are expected to sit out large amounts of time. All of them should be ready to go when Kent State rolls around.

The Hawkeyes newest Knockout King reportedly is Matt Roth. Rumors are flying around Iowa City that at practice this week, Matt delievered a TKO hit to FB Jeremy Allen during practice. Quite impressive coming from a true freshman!!!!

Another true freshman putting on weight is Mike Follett, who recently measured in at 6'5 231. With that added weight, you know he won't be staying at Safety. You have to wonder what position he'll be at: DE, TE, or LB???

Rumors have been flying around that OL Jon Cochran might possibly commit before the season, but you can put those rumors to rest. Here is what Jon had to tell me"
"I am making my decsion after the season, i just want to concentrate on my team's success right now."

I can tell you that after Jon was at Iowa last weekend for practice, it really tightened the race between Iowa, Iowa State, and Northwestern. Jon's family has strong connections to Iowa State so Iowa will have a battle much like they did with Seth Zehr.

Lastly, its great to know that the staff at Iowa truly has the player's best interests at heart. They have been very careful with medical concerns and practice in the heat so far!!!!!
