Another UW Stop for Veloz

A frequent visitor to campus, Oak Creek (WI) offensive lineman Nathan Veloz, who visited Saturday for the Wisconsin spring game, is on Wisconsin's radar heading into the summer camps.

No stranger to the Wisconsin campus, Oak Creek (WI) junior offensive guard Nathan Veloz has made a number of visits to see the Badgers work and interact with the coaching staff, including Saturday for their annual spring game.

"Since I've been up there so many times, I just came for the game," Veloz told BadgerNation. "I wasn't there earlier, but I was on the field before the game and just watched the game. I was talking with Coach Strickland and he said that Coach Woods will be down to see me soon and that I just need to show out at camp to get that offer. I already signed up for the camp."

At 6-4 and 320 pounds, not many come bigger than Veloz on the high school level, but the Badgers' offensive line definitely has the ability to make big guys feel smaller.

"The offensive line is not too much bigger than me," said Veloz. "I just need to get stronger obviously, but their footwork is very advanced, I feel I can definitely get to that level. I'll be working hard every day to get that Badger offer."

A three-star recruit by Scout.com, Veloz has been hearing from several schools. Still looking for his first offer, Veloz is looking to camp at various Big Ten spots this summer.

"I don't have any upcoming visits at the moment," said Veloz. "I'm going to a lot of camps and got one coming up in a couple of weeks. I am going to Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska and Michigan State camps."
