Iowa Jumps in with Jackson

Iowa continues to work the Atlanta area hard in recruiting. The Hawkeyes offered 2016 defensive lineman Antwuan Jackson last week. The four-star prospect said he likes Iowa.

Iowa jumped in early with a scholarship offer for 2016 defensive lineman Antwuan Jackson. The Hawkeyes had plenty of company when it came to the talented Georgian.

The 6-foot-3, 260-pound Jackson reports scholarship offers from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and South Carolina, among others. Despite that impressive list of suitors, particularly programs in his region of the country, the four-star prospect says he's open to the Hawkeyes.

"I Actually I like all my offers, including Iowa," Jackson said. "I really like their defensive line. That's what has me interested in them. Also, Iowa is a good school."

Assistant LeVar Woods recruits Georgia for Iowa. Jackson hails from Cedar Grove High in Ellenwood, a town south of Atlanta.

"I like Coach Woods. He's a great guy," Jackson said.

Jackson said he's considering a visit to Iowa City. He plans to camp with Georgia and Alabama this summer.

"I'm just taking my time with recruiting so I have a great recruitment and enjoy it," Jackson said. "I'm looking for a great education and a school that feels like it's family to me."

Jackson said he's hoping to decide on a college major this summer so he can research it at the schools which have offered him a scholarship.
