'Indiana fits Payton (Pritchard) perfect'

Payton Pritchard, a 2016 Indiana target from Oregon, continues to gain new interest from around the country. Here's the latest on him.

Just a few weeks ago, Payton Pritchard was a fairly unknown prospect, except for those on the West Coast. That all is changing in a hurry.

Pritchard, a 2016 guard from Oregon, continues to play well and impress on the AAU circuit with Team Fast, and colleges are taking notice.

Pritchard picked up new offers from Indiana, Butler and Iowa last week to go along with his existing offers from Oregon, Oregon State, Wisconsin, Washington, Oklahoma and Arizona State.

Pritchard's father, Terry, told AllHoosiers.com that he has heard from Iowa State, Creighton, Miami (Fl.) and UCLA just since the weekend.

Pritchard has been impressive as a true point guard who can shoot it at a high level from the perimeter as well as set up his teammates. He has the potential to be a great passer and leader at the college level.

Terry Pritchard said he and Payton are very high on Indiana at this point in the process.

"We really like Indiana," Terry told AllHoosiers.com. "We think it fits Payton perfect."
