Ware planning Irish visit

Running back Aca'cedric Ware of Cedar Hills (Texas) High was offered by Notre Dame over the weekend, and he has his eyes set on a mid-June visit to South Bend. He talks about his offer from Notre Dame, and what five-star wide receiver could be joining him on his visit to campus.

Notre Dame extended an offer to 2015 running back Aca'cedric Ware of Cedar Hills (Texas) High over the weekend.

"I was expecting it to happen because Coach (Tony) Alford came by our school to see me and and (five-star wide receiver) DeMarkus Lodge," Ware said. "On Saturday, my head coach told me that I had been offered."

Ware is still in the process of learning more about Notre Dame.

"I still haven't spoken to Coach Alford about my offer yet," Ware said. "We are doing that tomorrow. So, I don't know too much about Notre Dame, but I know they like to run the ball."

Ware has 20 offers, but he doesn't have a list of favorites yet. However, he plans to visit quite a few schools this summer, and those visits could help him narrow down his list.

"I am visiting Ole Miss, USC, Notre Dame, Iowa, and Ohio State," Ware said. "I'm not sure when I'm visiting Notre Dame because my coach is taking me and DeMarkus to our visits, but I think it's around June 18."

Ware said he's undecided on if he'll extend his recruitment into his senior year.

"I'm really not sure about official visits," Ware said. "I'll see what happens this summer."

The 6-foot-1, 196-pound running back says one of the schools recruiting him hardest right now is Iowa.

"I walk with Coach White or Coach Woods every day," Ware said. "I'm visiting them on June 21 I think."

Other recent offers for Ware include Oklahoma, USC and Wisconsin. Ware believes Tennessee could be next to offer.

Ware is a three-star prospect and is ranked as the No. 50 running back in the class of 2015.
