IOWA CITY, Iowa - Saturday's 17-13 Iowa win against Ball State was filled with football drama. From 55 minutes of fear about losing to a MAC school for a third year in a row to a quarterback rotation, there was a lot to chew on.
The Hawkeyes scored two touchdowns in the final 5:50 to avoid what surely would have turned the drama into a horror show.
"I'm just really pleased that our guys hung in there," Iowa Coach Kirk Ferentz said. "They fought, and like last week, they responded in some difficult circumstances and got it done in the fourth quarter. So, hopefully, this is a window that we'll look back to and say it was a really good day of learning for us. We'll see how it shapes out here, but really happy to get the win."
Plenty of players contributed to the victory on Saturday. Many of them, including Jake Rudock, C.J. Beathard, Jake Duzey, Carl Davis, Drew Ott, Brandon Scherff and others can be seen reacting to the game in our HI TV compilation video of post-game comments:
