IOWA CITY, Iowa - The fans who wandered into Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Saturday experienced a treat. Former Hawkeye and current Orlando Magic Guard Roy Devyn Marble joined Iowa for its Shirts and Skins scrimmage before the football game against Ball State.
While the defense was, at best, soft for most of the practice, one thing stood out offensively. The Hawkeyes looked for open teammates and very few baskets happened without an assist.
Peter Jok sat out the scrimmage with appeared to be an injury. He soaked his left foot in ice. Ellingson only played one game after which he stuck his right foot in ice. He was held out of the Prime Time League with the injury.
Iowa shot the ball pretty well outside on Saturday, which was encouraging. Anthony Clemmons, in particular, seems to have been working on his jumper.
