Hawkeyes Talk Maryland Loss

It was a dejected group of Hawkeyes who met with the media after Saturday's 38-31 loss at Maryland. HI was on hand to talk with the group. See what the Iowa players had to say in this HI TV video.

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Disappointed and embarrassed were words used by Iowa players here Saturday after their 38-31 loss to Maryland in Big Ten action at Byrd Stadium.

The Hawkeyes did not hide their emotions well, as you can see in this video we've compiled below.

"We didn't play the way we wanted to," senior running back Mark Weisman said. "We came out and started fast. That's about the only thing good we did all day. That's not what we do. Those aren't the type of penalties we get. That's not the type of football we play.

"You can't let it beat you twice, though. We have to move on from this."

Iowa heads into a bye week before returning to Kinnick Stadium to play host to Northwestern on Nov. 1.
