Hawkeyes Talk Wisconsin Match-Up

Iowa welcomes first-place Wisconsin to Kinnick Stadium Saturday in a battle of Big Ten West Division contenders. Hawkeye Coach Kirk Ferentz, quarterback Jake Rudock, defensive tackle Carl Davis and others talked about what they expect from the Badgers.

IOWA CITY, Iowa - Iowa and Wisconsin don't like each other. The Big Ten West Division foes and border state rivals do respect each other, however.

The programs are built in the old-school tradition of this conference. They like to run the football and play physical.

"From the similarities of our approach to the game, there has to be respect there," Hawkeye Linebacker Quinton Alston said.

Saturday, in many ways, will test which team does better what they both like to do. The contrast in styles is minimal.

And there's a lot on the line. Wisconsin (8-2 overall, 5-1 Big Ten) leads the Hawkeyes (7-3, 4-2) by one-game in the divisional race.

Iowa Coach Kirk Ferentz and his players understand what's on the line. And they talk about it here:
