Apparently, the Hawkeyes have gotten their message across to Ken Aguirre.
"They came to my school and asked me to visit. I keep getting a lot of mail asking me to visit. So, I'll visit," the Joliet (IL) Catholic defensive lineman said.
Aguirre was invited to, but couldn't attended Iowa's two junior days so far this winter.
"I have to get another form because I missed all the days and I don't have a form to fill out to send to say I'm going to take a visit," he said.
"The exact words he told me was believe it or not we really have our eyes on you," Aguirre said Ferentz told him when they met at Joliet Catholic. "Those were his exact words. I remember to this day."
Aguirre said his knowledge of Iowa is limited.
"I really know nothing at all that's why I'm trying to take a visit so I can know about the school. I don't know much about any colleges," he said.
Education will represent an important component for Aguirre as he gets to know schools.
"I want to be a dentist or an athletic trainer if I don't make it pro. You know, that's the first dream. I still need to make sure I get my degree first," he said.
