Evans Likes Hawks

One of the premier defensive prospects in New Jersey and the East Coast, Lance Evans (6'5 200 4.55) of Voorhees, NJ (Eastern Regional) has his options of schools not only from the east coast, but also, the midwest. Lance has the same build and is the same type of player as Chad Greenway. Will Iowa be able to land him?

Lance Evans is a New Jersey native, but a lot of his time has been spent in many different states. Lance has always been a great athlete, competing in many sports, which meant a lot of AAU travel in the summer.

"I've spent a lot of time on the road so I'm use to it," says Lance. "Distance won't affect me not at all as I've learned how to be on my own while on the road."

Iowa, Rutgers, Penn State, Wisconsin, Temple, Syracuse, and Boston College are Lance's offers at this time and are the schools at the top of his list.

"Everything is pretty much even right now. I plan to take officials to Wisconsin and Iowa, as they are both very nice schools. I want to check out all my options."

"I love how Iowa is the focus of the state. There is no pro team so everyone only worries about the Hawks. I want to play for that kind of fan support and be able to see all of those fans when running out of the stadium."

Lance plans to major in business, and has taken notice of the Henry Tippie College of Business at the U of Iowa. Lance carries a 2.5 GPA and 1120 on SAT so there should be no problem in qualifying. Iowa is really looking hard to capture connections back to New Jersey, and Lance would be a great start!!!
