OL Lists Iowa

Offensive Line has been one of the positions Iowa has been able to bag with in-state prospects as the talent in the state of Iowa has been plentiful the last couple of years. However, this year Iowa appears set to sign one or two OL from out of state, and here is one OL that it appears Iowa particulary likes.

Tony Ugoh (6'6 297), from Houston, TX (Westfield), is one of the premier OL in the south. Iowa has increased its ability to recruit in the state of Texas the past two years, and this year will be looking to take an even stronger position down there.

"Right now my top list of schools are Oklahoma, Florida, Arkansas, Alabama, UCLA, Texas, Iowa, Iowa State, and Lousiana State," stated Tony. "I have offers from all of them."

Tony, with a 3.4 GPA and 970 SAT, not only uses his physical domination on opposing defenders, but also uses the mentality that he deserves everything he earns so he knows how to out work and outsmart the opponent.

"When I'm playing, I'm trying to punish my opponent. I know I've worked for many years to get where I am so I want to go out there and earn every reward I should."

"Iowa has a real good upcoming football team and I like their engineering program. I want a good combination of those two and I want to be in an environment that fits me best."

Tony has great size and has played against some great competition down in Texas. He and Chris Felder would make a great tackle tandem. Hopefully, Jon Cochran and Brian Borgoyn will decide to pledge as the guard duo. Iowa would be contending for the top OL class in the nation if all these pieces were to fall in place!!!!
