Video: Iowa Football Practice 1v1

Video of Iowa football practice one on one drills. See who the stars were that came out on top!

Iowa Hawkeyes football practice started about a week ago and Wednesday was the first time the media had the opportunity to see some of the action. The first half hour was open for photos and videos, and consisted of stretching, one on one drills, position drills, offensive snaps, defensive snaps, and some special teams work.

The time there allowed some of the depth chart to be revealed. Some worthy observations were the first team offensive line consisting of Boone Myers, Eric Simmons, Austin Blythe, Sean Welsh, and Ike Boettger.

As expected, C.J. Beathard manned the first unit, and quarterback Tyler Wiegers took charge of the second offensive group. Wiegers was protected by Dalton Ferguson, freshman James Daniels, Steve Ferentz, Keegan Render, and Cole Croston.

Running backs Jordan Canzeri, Akrum Wadley, and LeShun Daniels shared time with the first unit, while the second huddle was the duty of Derrick Mitchell.

Defensively, the first repetitions were going to Drew Ott, Faith Ekakitie, Jaleel Johnson, and Nate Meier on the defensive line. The linebackers were Josey Jewell, Ben Niemann, and Bo Bower on the first team, and the defensive backfield was a combination of Desmond King, Brandon Snyder, Miles Taylor, Sean Draper, and Anthony Gair.

Video of the one on one action is included.
