Check out the exclusive video above of Iowa Hawkeyes commit Cedrick Lattimore, a three-star defensive lineman out of Detroit (Mich.) East English Village Prep.
Lattimore is rated as the 8th best defensive tackle in the midwest, the top defensive tackle in the state of Michigan, and the 59th best defensive tackle in the entire country.
He committed to the Hawkeyes on May 18, along with his teammate Chauncey Golston. Current Iowa cornerback Desmond King went to the same school as both.
In the video above, he describes his penchant for physicality and what he loves about playing football and being on the field. He plays it the same way. Lattimore is a tough player that loves to initiate contact and be in the middle of the scrums.
He compares himself to a current NFL player, more so because of his ability to line up at different spots across the defensive line. I noticed that about him too, and his versatility of being able to play inside and outside on the edge. At 6-rot-5 and 265 pounds, he could grow into a space-eating defensive tackle, or he could also be a load to handle at strong-side defensive end.
Lattimore also shares what career he desires to pursue after football, and it's tied into the work and efforts he's inserted into football.
