Four-star running back Eno Benjamin of Wylie (Texas) made news a few months ago when he named Iowa his leader. He has yet to back off that stance which is good news for the Hawkeyes.
Benjamin is a top 100 recruit in the 2017 class and the country's 11th best running back for his grade. The 5-foot-10, 187 pound back has now set up several visits that he will take in the next month.
Per his twitter account, Benjamin will visit Texas, Texas A&M, Michigan, Ohio State, Northwestern, Iowa, and Kansas over the next few weeks.
His Iowa visit is slated for March 11. The Hawkeyes will get 24 hours to impress the star running back enough to stay in the lead for his services.
Benjamin will visit the Longhorns and Aggies the last two days of February. From March 8-12 he will visit all of Michigan, Ohio State, Northwestern, Iowa, and Kansas. It will be a perfect series of events for Benjamin to grade each school against one another, find out more about each football program, and he has an opportunity to rake in additional offers as well.
The Hawkeyes will find out soon afterwards if they pass the test. They lead now but this one is far from over. They'll have to fight many programs for the opportunity to sign Benjamin who will be wanted by just about every program in America by the end of his recruitment.
So, mark your calendars. The first test has been passed. The next one comes soon for Iowa if they want to land the top 100 recruit.
