Iowa's chase for a quarterback in the 2017 class has narrowed in on Garland (Texas) Lakeview Centennial signal caller Kamron Fields. The Texas athlete was offered by Iowa very early in the calendar year and he followed that up with a visit for the Hawkeyes' Spring Game. He also plans on making a return trip to Iowa City during the month of June in which he will have teammate Shamond Greenwood in tow, a wide receiver holding an offer from Kirk Ferentz and company.
But other schools are in the mix for Fields' services as well, such as Indiana, Utah, SMU, and Fresno State. He also continues to accrue more offers as they continue through spring football in the Lone Star State.
Iowa offensive coordinator Greg Davis was down in Garland, Texas yesterday to evaluate both Fields and Greenwood. As is always the case, Greg Davis evaluates a quarterback in person before diving all in with them so it was a major step for Fields and the Hawkeyes.
How did that process go and is Iowa any closer to finding their next quarterback? Find out inside on The Swarm forums.
