IF YOU HAVE TO RANK ALL THE WIDE RECEIVERS WITH OFFERS IN WHAT YOU BELIEVE IS THE ORDER OF PREFERENCE BY THE IOWA COACHING STAFF, HOW WOULD IT LOOK?
DYLAN: Of the guys that are in play for Iowa at wideout I think it goes, Buckley, Bell, Holmes, Martin, Greenwood, Hippenhammer, and then I think it's kind of a wash towards the end with Savoy, Ali, and Gibbs. I think they miss in one of those top 3, which brings Martin into play. He'll likely be one of the 3 receivers I see them taking.
DEREK: Camron Buckley is at the top followed by Gavin Holmes. That is clear. The rest is pretty close between Oliver Martin, Shamond Greenwood, Maurice Bell and Mac Hippenhammer. They will take Martin no matter what so that probably gives him an edge at the third spot. I wouldn't rule out a fourth if one of the other want in but it's tough to keep everyone happy when you take four.
WHAT ARE IOWA'S CHANCES WITH CHEVIN CALLOWAY?
DYLAN: Having Desmond King still in town helps Iowa's chances with Calloway. From the sounds of it he loved his Iowa visit and with Iowa already pulling in a lot of talent for 2017, that helps as well. It'll be interesting to see who he has towards the top, because he has some big time offers.
DEREK: They're certainly better than what they were before the visit. It's still not great but they have a puncher's chance now and should get an official visit now. The competition for him is Texas, Notre Dame, and Alabama at this point.
HOW DOES ENO BENJAMIN COMPARE WITH J.K. DOBBINS?
DYLAN: I think Dobbins is a little ahead of Benjamin at this point in the process. He's a little more elusive at the line and in open space. Dobbins is also faster than Benjamin right now. I think it's close, but I have to give the slight edge to Dobbins.
DEREK: Two different backs so the comparison is hard. Who would I rather have if I was Ohio State? Dobbins. Who would I rather have if I was Iowa? Benjamin. Style plays a role. Just take your pick on what kind of back you want. Dobbins probably stays ranked higher because he has more firepower and explosion and playmaking skills to his game but Benjamin is a perfect fit at Iowa.
WHAT PLAYER IN THE NBA WOULD YOU COMPARE BRANDON INGRAM'S GAME TO?
DYLAN: It might be a stretch but I think he could wind up being a Kevin Durant type player. He's long, he can get to the rim, and create his own shot. He'll help out a Laker team that was brutal from beyond the arc last season as well. He's only 18, so it might be a couple of years before he really comes into his game, but in my eyes he'll be special.
DEREK: He's similar to Kevin Durant when you consider his shooting, length, and measurables. He's far from that type of player right now because he's only 18 and has a ways to go to get there, if he gets there.
HOW MANY COMMITS ARE YOU EXPECTING THIS WEEKEND?
DYLAN: If I had to venture a guess I'd say two, maybe three. I think Gavin Holmes is a lock. Matt Hankins may commit as well, but the one I'm most intrigued about is Kobe Boyce. Committed to Texas right now, but I don't know why he'd be visiting Iowa if things were going well with the Longhorns.
DEREK: Two. I have Gavin Holmes in and there's a strong chance they can land Matt Hankins as well. Anything else would be a bonus.
WHAT IS GOING ON WITH OLIVER MARTIN? THREE BIG TEN OFFERS AND NOT ONE FROM HIS HOMETOWN.
DYLAN: Martin got his Iowa offer this week, so that clears up any uncertainty about Iowa not being interested.
DEREK: It's all cleared up now and public. Iowa has offered and will take him. I think that's where he wants to be as well. It is now five Big Ten offers for him.
DO YOU THINK MAURICE BELL LIKES IOWA OR MICHIGAN BETTER?
DYLAN: I know Bell really liked his Michigan visit and they offered him as well. Derek might be able to tell you more here, but I think he likes both schools. He backed off his commitment date and his top schools, so he's kind of unpredictable right now.
DEREK: I think he likes Michigan better but that probably means very little because at this point they would not take him. They're recruiting at a level above what he is as a player. They have bigger fish on the hook. The competition for Bell right now is not Michigan. It would be Arizona and Colorado.
