Monday could be decision day for a lot of targets on the recruiting trail. Iowa running back commit Eno Benjamin signaled on twitter earlier on Saturday that Monday could bring good news to the Hawkeye faithful. However, he was probably speaking in regards to Texas prospects. In addition to that, Murrieta (Calif.) Valley wide receiver Maurice Bell will be making his college decision on Monday.
The 6-foot, 180 pound prospect has had a back-and-forth recruitment recently. Bell released a list of his top five schools including a decision date in June that would come soon after his visit to Ann Arbor to camp with the Wolverines' staff. Quickly after, he rescinded that group of top schools and indicated that a college choice would likely come later on in the summer.
Bell is one of the top targets for Iowa at wide receiver and has already visited the campus. The three-star prospect holds many offers but will choose from five schools.
"Yes, Maurice will be making his college decision on Monday," Bell's father Lester confirmed to Scout. "He will choose from Iowa, Arizona, Michigan, Colorado, and Washington State."
The Hawkeyes have put a great emphasis on receivers in this class the past few months and have yet to reel one in. They seem on the brink of adding a few and Bell could be just the start.
