Iowa Offers Standout Athlete

Annually, New Jersey produces some of the top athletes in this country. Iowa is keeping close tabs on one of the best performers in the Garden State. This prospect even had a relative that played for Kent State in Iowa's opening blowout. Could that possibly help Iowa gain his interest???

6'0 200 ATH Wali Lundi, from Delran, NJ (Holy Cross), isn't worrying about his recruitment at this time. In fact, he is concentrating on working hard on his studies. (3.2 GPA and 900 SAT) "Right now I'm just trying to focus on the season and worry about recruiting after it," exclaimed Wali.

Wali's brother, Mikal Lundi, was actually a part of the Kent State team that traveled to Iowa City a few weeks back, losing 51-0. "Yeah, my brother played for Kent State. I haven't really asked him much about Iowa, but I ought to. I know he was really upset after the loss."

"Right now I'm interested in everybody. Nebraska, Ohio St., Notre Dame, Iowa, Michigan St., North Carolina, Clemson, Boston College, Wake Forest, Miami(FL), and Georgia Tech have all offered me a scholarship. I've only visited Wake Forest at this point, it was an average visit."

"I want to play offense in college, whether its running back or wide receiver. Some schools have been recruiting me for defense. The type of offense and how many great backs and receivers they've produced will also impact my decision."

Wali can play a variety of positions, the kind of prospect Iowa has really targeted the past few years. Expect Wali to be watching the Penn State game, and hopefully Iowa will be able to show him an impressive offensive performance.
