Micah Jones isn't the only 2018 receiver from Illinois that Iowa is in pursuit of. They've also offered athlete I'Shawn Stewart of Bolingbrook, Illinois. He's a talent that can play both sides of the football, at wideout or cornerback.
Stewart is 5-foot-11, and 160 pounds so some physical development is needed but his tools have motivated Illinois and Nevada to offer in addition to the Hawkeyes.
His time with the other prospects on campus made the trip to Iowa City an enjoyable one for him.
"It was great," Stewart said. "I had a great time with some of the guys from my class like Micah Jones and a few others."
The Hawkeyes made sure to sell their program to Stewart while he was in town, noting the perks of Iowa to him.
"They just told me to keep doing well and have a good season," Stewart shared about his conversations with the Iowa coaches. "They said how Iowa is a complete package and that it would be a school to make me a complete package. They told me they see me playing in the slot and on the outside."
It was a successful pitch by the Hawkeye staff as Stewart holds the Iowa program in high regard.
"They're one of my favorites," Stewart admitted about Iowa. "They'll definitely be a consideration when I choose a school."
