Week One: NFL Alumni Report

Dylan Burn of Hawkeye Insider examines how some Hawkeyes fared in week one of the NFL season.

With Iowa, it's a bit hard to breakdown how each of them did as far as stats go because most of the Hawkeyes in the NFL are linemen.  It seems like the Hawkeyes send at least one offensive lineman to the league each year.  However, I did track some stats down, so lets see how some Hawkeyes did in week one of the NFL season.

*Jonathan Babineaux recorded two tackles in Atlanta's week one loss to their NFC South rival, Tampa Bay.

*Adrian Clayborn recorded two tackles for the Falcons as well.  He also added a tackle for a loss and two QB hits on the day.

*Christian Kirksey might have had the best day of all the Hawkeyes in Cleveland's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. The linebacker recorded six tackles, one sack, and one QB hit.

*Mike Daniels had a slow day in the middle of the Green Bay Packers defensive line.  He finished his day with a single tackle for a loss in Green Bay's win over Jacksonville.

*Micah Hyde also wasn't very active in Green Bay's opening win.  He recorded just one tackle today.

*C.J. Fiedorowicz was targeted twice in Houston's win over the Chicago Bears.  He caught one of them for six yards.

*Anthony Hitchens had a solid day for the Dallas Cowboys.  He recorded six total tackles in a tight one that the Cowboys dropped to the New York Giants.

*Karl Klug had two tackles for the Tennessee Titans yesterday in a game that the Titans dropped to the Minnesota Vikings.

*Tight End Brandon Myers caught one pass for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  Myers found the end zone on the play that totaled four yards.

Stay tuned into Hawkeye Insider as we will keep you updated on how former Hawkeyes are doing all season long.
