Iowa Football: FL DB Max Worship Targeting Summer Visit to Iowa City

FL DB Maxwell Worship talks Hawkeyes, updates his recruitment.

In two of the last three recruiting cycles the Iowa Football staff has been able to pull at least one recruit out of Florida and up to Iowa. They did it with Adrian Falconer in 2015 and did it with Josh Turner and Kyshaun Bryan in 2017. Could Maxwell Worship be the next name on that list for Iowa in 2018?

"The relationship is really good," Worship told Scout. "I talk to a coach (Tyler Barnes and Kelton Copeland) from there at least once a week," he added.

Worship says he's being recruited the hardest by Vanderbilt and Syracuse as of right now, but isn't ruling anything out as he works towards a decision.

"As of right now, no," Worship said when asked about if he has any favorites at the top. But he does know when he'll finally make a visit to Iowa City.

He's planning a summer visit to the Hawkeyes and believes it'll be in either June or July. And it sounds like a decision shouldn't be too far off after that.

"As of right now, no, but probably sometime either during the fall season or before it," he said when asked about a decision timeline.

He has Big Ten offers from Indiana and Rutgers along with Iowa, but North Carolina, Kentucky, Syracuse, and Vanderbilt are the other teams that have thrown their name in the hat for Worship at this time.

He has the Hawkeye visit on his agenda, but doesn't have many others planned at this point. Expect others to get added to the list as we approach the summer season, though.

Iowa will definitely get their shot to impress Worship over the summer.
