The class of 2018 lost Wisconsin LB Mike Bruner last week. Bruner - who was the first to commit to the Iowa class - is also the first to decommit. Iowa has since added dynamic playmaker Tyrone Tracy of Decatur Central in Indianapolis, IN. Today they added stocky Tyler Linderbaum, a defensive tackle from nearby Solon, IA.
The Hawkeye staff offered just under two months ago at their junior day on March 5th and Linderbaum didn't waste much time.
Linderbaum - growing up so close to Iowa City - really didn't have a choice when it came to fandom when he was a youngster. He grew up an Iowa fan, but when offered said he wasn't pressured into committing right away, citing that he had plenty of time to go.
It appears the Hawkeyes have already won over Linderbaum with his commitment today.
Looking at him quickly, he's your typical Iowa lineman. He's tough, powerful, mean, and he's a multi-sport athlete. Here is video of him taking down and then pinning 2017 Iowa signee, Tristan Wirfs.
Linderbaum joins Tracy, Jeff Jenkins, Dillon Doyle, and Henry Geil as the current commits in the class of 2018.
