The Hawkeyes are hosting some key targets in the class of 2018 this week. Today, it was Cody Ince, a class of 2018 offensive lineman from Wisconsin. The visit couldn't have went better for the 6'6" 260 pound prospect, who left Iowa City with an offer from Kirk Ferentz and the Iowa Football program.
"It felt great receiving my first Big Ten offer," Ince stated. "Especially from a traditional team and the coaching staff is very fantastic," he continued.
"(The visit) went well," Ince admitted. "It was great seeing the campus and the facilities. It was great getting to sit down and talk with (the coaches)."
He currently holds offers from Virginia, North Dakota State, Central Michigan, and Northern Illinois among others, but doesn't really claim any favorites at this point in time.
However, he says the offer from Iowa puts them high on his list now.
"Obviously high on the list," Ince admitted when ask where this puts the Hawkeyes now. "But I'm still going to keep my options available."
Like almost all of Iowa's offensive line recruits, Ince absolutely raved about new offensive line coach Tim Polasek.
"I love his energy and his passion," he began. "What I loved most was that he treats you like you were his kid. He acts like family and it's great."
Ince says that he is definitely planning a return trip to Iowa City, but obviously doesn't have that trip planned considering he just left Iowa City not too long ago.
