Balsam Lake (Wisc.) offensive tackle Cody Ince has just wrapped up three visits; to North Dakota State, Iowa and Minnesota. It is believed that his decision will come down to the Hawkeyes and Gophers.
Ince saw the Gophers on Friday.
"I really like the new era they have started at Minnesota," he said. "I see bright things in the works there."
Ince not only visited the Gophers on Friday but he has also been there three times before in the Spring and resides just a little over an hour from the Minneapolis campus, despite being from Wisconsin.
"That's definitely a pro," he admitted about living close to the Gopher campus.
Iowa has some pros on their side as well in their effort to convince Ince to play his college football in Iowa City. The Hawkeyes hosted him for the third time, on Monday.
"It was good," Ince shared about the trip. "I like the players there, especially the Paulsen brothers."
Not only the players but his relationship with coach Tim Polasek, the Iowa offensive line coach, is important as well. Polasek is recruiting him for the Hawkeyes, and he also recruited him previously for North Dakota State.
"Got to love him and his energy," Ince explained about the new Iowa assistant.
Ince is now expected to make a college decision after the latest batch of visits. What that decision will be is still not known. The Hawkeyes and Gophers are both hoping for the call.
"I'm not sure yet," Ince stated about when a decision would likely come. "Whenever I feel ready. I haven't made a decision yet."
