Florida LB Looking at Iowa

The Iowa staff is searching Florida hard for undiscovered talent. It appears that they have found some rare, underrated gems, like this LB from the home of Bobby Bowden. Can he get to the passer? Can you say 4.5 forty?

Linebacker Edmond Miles (6'1 196 4.53), from Tallahassee, FL (Godby), isn't your prototypical LB, but neither was Abdul Hodge at this point last year. It was the speed and ability to always be around the ball that made Abdul such an attraction, and Edmond shares a lot of those similarities.

"Right now, I have offers from Southern Cal, Arkansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, and Iowa," stated Edmond.

"Its a strong possibility that I'll visit Iowa on November 30th, and I have a visit set-up for USC on December 7th. I just want a good school where I can make an impact and help them build a tradition."

"Iowa just came into the race not too long ago, but they told me they loved my tapes against Tallahassee Lincoln. They liked how I moved around the ball and they said I could have the chance to play early."

"It was cool to go up against Gavin Dickey. He is a very good scrambler, and when you think you have him contained, he'll rifle off a pass."

Well, Iowa has a lot of the qualities that Edmond is looking for in a school. Edmond carries a 2.5 GPA and will be taking the ACT test in October. It'll be a different kind of test for Iowa to land Edmond, but they have shown the ability to recruit Florida before. Will Iowa be able to land a recruit from Bobby Bowden's backyard? I can hear the chant now!

I-O-W-A, I-O-W-A. A whole new sound in Tallahassee!
