Recruiting 101

With four commitments already under the belt, the Hawkeye coaching staff is now getting ready for official visits to begin. What visits have already been set? What is the latest with some prospects that Iowa is pursuing for a visit? Find out the latest in Recruiting 101......

As I posted yesterday, RB's William Blackmon and Jerramy Scott have scheduled visits. Well, Scott's teammate, WR Brandon White (6'3 180), has also scheduled a visit to Iowa City. Both White and Scott hail from Palm Beach Gardens, FL (Dwyer). These are just two more outstanding Florida preps to add to the schedule visit along with Fabian Washington, Steve Cassell, and Edmond Miles. The staff is still working very hard on getting fellow Florida preps Gavin Dickey, Buster Davis, and Leon Washington in for visits.

Speaking about teammates, RB David Horne may bring one of his Omaha Central teammates with him. David will be tripping out to Iowa City on the December 14-16 weekend, and it appears set that Nebraska commit WR Mark LeFlore will join him. There is also a chance that ISU commit Stevie Hicks from Omaha Creighton Prep could be in attendance. The staff at will keep a close eye out on this for all Hawk fans!!!!

Calvin Davis and Warren McDuffie have really impressed many this fall and left a lot of schools wondering why they didn't offer this dynamic duo. Both offer the great athletic playmaking ability that Iowa needs. Although I think you can pencil Warren in for DE at this time, his frame could allow him to play many positions.

Blake Larsen is going to be a great host this fall, and he will be used quite often when it comes to big time prospects. The staff is working hard on getting out of state offensive lineman, D'Brickshaw Ferguson and Brandon Darlington, in for visits and I think you could expect last year's #1 OL in the nation to be giving them a tour of Iowa City. It should be very impressive for any OL visiting, especially guards, like both of the above, who will be playing inside of Blake.

The staff here at is really getting pumped as we head into December and January to cover recruiting for many Hawk fans. We appreciate all the support given so far by premium suscribers, and we hope that the word can continue to spread that this is the best premium product for Hawkeye inside information. All support given to is greatly appreciated as we work to keep this site alive for a very long time!!!!
