"It was a real nice visit," said Terrance Jones. "Iowa City is a real nice place; a little cold, but I'd have to say I really enjoyed myself. The coaches let me know if I come in and work hard that I'll have a chance to play right away."
"That was important to me, and why they are under consideration. They need an explosive runner to come in and replace Fred Russell and they also said I'd be taking over #13's duties in returning punts and kicks."
The '#13' that Jones was talking about is departing Iowa senior Ramon Ochoa who set the Iowa single season record for punt return yardage in 2003.
Jones has a tough final decision to make with one more visit up in the air.
"I'm supposed to visit LSU this weekend, but I'm hearing they want me as a cornerback. I want to play running back so I doubt I'll take that visit. I'm still considering North Carolina State, and I've already taken a visit there. I know I can come in and start right away at South Florida so I have to choose between playing time or the opporunity to play for some big-time programs."
