With the ink still wet from the signatures of this years recruiting classes The Insiders.com wanted to take a look at one of the best junior prospects in Broward County. Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Dillard Elijah Hodge is a 6-foot-1 and 215 pound linebacker from one of the best programs in South Florida. He has the speed, quickness and instincts that every coach that recruits him will look at.
So what is Hodge top five list look like?
"FSU, Iowa, LSU, Miami and Auburn are the schools that I like right now," he said.
Over the past two years he has camped at LSU and Auburn. This year Hodge would like to go to FSU and Miami as well for their camps. He also plans to attend the Nike Camp.
Most players have one player that inspired them at one time and to Hodge it would be his brother Abdul Hodge who plays for the Iowa Hawkeye's.
"Yeah my brother has always been someone that I looked up to and tried to emulate," he said.
When the Insiders asked Hodge who he would compare his game to he did not hesitate.
"Derrick Brooks," he said. "Just like him I am not the biggest linebacker but I play the game with passion and at a 110%".
As a junior Hodge was one of the team leaders with over a 100 tackle, nine sacks, one interception and a couple of pass breakups.
