Talented Texas RB Visits Iowa

Corey Robertson is one of the best running backs in the state of Texas for 2005. This past weekend, he made a stop in Iowa City for the Hawkeyes annual football camp. Read his thoughts on the camp and the Iowa program, plus what he felt about the city, coaches and more...

Corey Robertson knew he would be attending camps this summer, and wanted to do so with a bang. Therefore, he chose to attend camps at Oklahoma, Iowa, and USC, and finished his last day at Iowa's camp today.

"It was a real good camp," said Robertson. "The town was better than I expected with how sunny it was and the fact that it had more of an urban feeling. I liked the people and the coaches at Iowa."

So did the coaches inform Corey of where he currently stands on their list?

"They told me they were impressed with me when they saw my film, but they are even more impressed with me now. They told me that I have an offer on the table, and can accept whenever I want to."

Will Robertson make a summer decision?

"I'm still debating, but I think I'd like to wait until after the season. I know right now that Iowa and Oklahoma State are pretty much my top teams. Oklahoma State would have likely offered me if I came up to one day of their camp, but I was unable to make it."

"North Carolina State is another team I'm real interested, but they haven't been showing much back. I'm still giving thought to Colorado as they do a good job of producing backs."
