Dave Moosman had reason to attend summer camps at Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Notre Dame after receiving offers from all of them previously in the spring. It only goes to show you that Dave is dedicated to his position in picking up as much knowledge as he possibly can.
"On the offensive line, you just have to know so much information that I wouldn't say I changed anything to my base, but I definitely learned of some tweaking I need to do," said Moosman. "I liked Iowa and Wisconsin's camps a little better because we got to wear pads and hit people, but camps don't really have much bearing on my decision." Moosman says he will make a decision after the season after viewing his top schools on official visits. In fact, Moosman has already narrowed his list to the five schools he will be officially visiting.
"I have narrowed my list to Michigan, Iowa, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, and UCLA."
I asked him for his thoughts on his top five programs.
"Michigan just continually delivers a quality program and quality people. They send a lot of players onto the NFL."
"I really Wisconsin's offensive line coach, Jim Hueber. I really like their facilities as they are all nice and compact."
"Notre Dame has just a great tradition. I just love the atmosphere and everything that goes on with gameday."
"I have family out in the Los Angeles area and my high school's defensive line coach came from UCLA."
"Coach Ferentz has done a great job in sending offensive lineman off to the NFL. I am also impressed with the progress their offensive lineman make while they are there."
Did Moosman grow up a particular fan of any of these schools?
"Not really, but I probably followed Michigan the most. That has nothing to do with my decision, though."
