Brown had a solid junior season at both running back and cornerback. "I had 130 carries for 1,155 yards. I caught 20 passes for 271 yards and scored 16 total touchdowns on offense," said Brown. "I also recorded 53 tackles, 2 interceptiosn and had 14 breakups on defense."
Irish camp impressed Brown. "I liked it there a lot," said Brown. "I thought I did pretty good there. I spoke with coach Simmons and coach Willingham and they said they wanted to sit down as a staff and figure out where they wanted to use me on the field. They said they were definitely interested. I liked it at Notre Dame a lot."
Most schools are divided as to what Brown's best position might be. "Some are saying running back, but Nebraksa and Tennessee have offered me as a corner. I prefer running back, but I'll play anywhere."
The Irish might have to offer Brown soon to stay in the race. "I plan to wait until August before making my decision," he said. "I'd like to make it before my season, but I might take official visits."
Brown also gets it done in the classroom with a a 3.2 g.p.a and scored and 990 on his S.A.T.
