Chander Has Good Visit

This past weekend, Iowa hosted one of the premier QB's on the JUCO level, Nathan Chandler. Nathan has now visited his top two schools, Mississippi State and Iowa. How well did the Pasadena QB enjoy his Iowa visit? Is he close to reaching a decision?

Nathan Chandler is ranked by many JUCO recruiting services as the top JUCO QB. He definitely would bring a unique persona to the Hawks, all 6'7 245 pounds of himself. Iowa has traditionally had the tall skinny QB, but Nathan definitely brings some added power and running ability to the table.

"I had a good time on my vist," Nathan said. "I toured the facilites and had the chance to sit down with Coach O'Keefe to look over the offense. I really like the offense Iowa runs."

"Now I'm just going to go home and talk this over with my father and coach. I want to make a decision pretty quickly. I'd say Iowa has the slight edge right now. I know they are looking for a JUCO QB so they'd probably like a decision from me shortly, also."

"My host was Robert Gallery, and he was a real cool guy. I thought the players were all very cool and seemed to really click. I met and hung around many of the OL, and that is very important for a QB to do. All of my visits were great, and I have a tough decision, but Iowa just felt like the place for me."

Hawk fans will have to sit back and wait for a decision from Nathan Chandler. There has been much press on the need for a JUCO QB in this class, and Nathan Chandler should have no problem taking up the space.
