Illinois OL David Moosman (6-4, 260, 5.3) of Libertyville (2-0 this season) says Wisconsin (camp) and Michigan (camp) both lead slightly over Iowa (camp), Notre Dame (camp) and UCLA. All have offered.
"I really like the coaching staff at Wisconsin and the town of Madison is my kind of town. I'm pretty knowledgeable of the area around there," says Moosman. "I've spoken with coaches (Brian) Murphy (special teams/OLBs) and (Jim) Hueber (OL) just about taking some visits there and when I'll be doing that. They recruiting me more as a guard than a tackle.
"Michigan has a great program and you can't argue with that. They have a good strength training and conditioning coach (Kevin) Tolbert). I've spoken with some of their coaches as well, and they basically want to know when I'll be taking my visit there. They also have been sending me a lot of letters and stuff. I'm trying to get to the NFL, and Michigan would be a great place to go and win a national championship.
"Coach (Kirk) Ferentz of Iowa is one of the best coaches around. Coach (Chris) Doyle (strength and conditioning) is really good there too. They seem to have the reputation of taking unknown to mildly good players and making them great. Matt Roth (DL) and Robert Gallery are good examples of that.
"Notre Dame has a great history and has the best academics out of my top five. They have done a lot of remodeling within their program. They have nice new locker rooms and weight rooms--they are definitely keeping up with the Jones' so to speak.
"It's hard for me to get out to UCLA and I don't know too much about the program there. But I know the coaches want me there. L.A. is a great area and UCLA is good place to go to school."
David will officially visit these five schools after the season.
