Sean Lee: Phone Ringing Off the Hook

Upper Saint Clair (PA) athlete Sean Lee, who hails from the same high school that produced Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz, has heard his phone ringing off the hook from college coaches as of late. The Hawkeyes got in touch with Lee, and he is anticipating making an official campus visit to the River City. Read the latest update from Lee...

Sean Lee continues to climb up the prospect board for many programs around the country as a premier defensive prospect from the state of Pennsylvania.

"I've gotten calls from the five schools that have offered me (Duke, Indiana, Iowa, Miami (OH) and West Virginia) plus Penn State, Pittsburgh, Northwestern, Georgia Tech, Maryland, and Tennessee," said Lee.

"I'm going to wait a few more weeks before finalizing my list becuase I want to see who continues to call, and what other offers come in as some of these schools I haven't taken the time to learn about."

Did any schools say they were close to offering?

"Coach Bradley at Penn State told me he really likes me, and that he just needs to get their board straightened out on whether to offer me or not. Pitt has also been showing a lot of strong interest, and Georgia Tech was successful in reaching me on their third attempt on the first day phone calls were allowed."

Has Lee discussed official visits with any of the schools?

"I talked to Iowa about taking an official visit in December. Coach (Ken) O'Keefe told me what an advantage it is for me to have Coach (Kirk) Ferentz come from the same high school as me, and be a western Pennsylvania guy. Coach O'Keefe is a northern Pennsylvania guy so we are all the same type of people."
