"Well, you can say they have verbally offered as they have told me I have one, but I have no papers yet," said Lenix. "They've just told me to be patient. It'd be nice to be a Buckeye, but even if they do offer I'm still going to take my visits."
One school that has already spoken to Lenix about a visit is the Iowa Hawkeyes.
"Iowa is the one school I'm really looking forward to visiting right now. They have some real good linebackers, and since they have also told me they'll be taking a look at me as running back, too, I can't ignore the fact they've sent their last three backs to the NFL. It just shows me that they have good coaches, and a good program overall. I've really been keeping up with them."
Lenix stated he has spoken to Iowa offensive coordinator Ken O'Keefe about an official visit, but no date has been set.
Who are the other schools currently on Lenix's list?
"Florida has begun sending me some letters, and I would like to hear from them. Otherwise, out of my offers, I'd say North Carolina, Pittsburgh, and Wisconsin are the schools that come to my mind, first."
Lenix recorded 11 solo tackles and rushed for 20 yards on five carries in helping Glenville to a 3-1 record last Friday as they defeated Akron Buchtel in the "Soul Bowl."
Is Lenix fully qualified?
"I have a 3.2 GPA overall, but I have to re-take the ACT in October. I've been taking all kinds of computer tests and been keeping my head in the books getting prepared so I fully expect to be qualified."
Lastly, since Lenix does not plan to make his decision until after the season, what factors will determine his decision the most?
"I want to go to a school with good academics, and I want to play for a good coaching staff."
