Denison (Tx) RB Corey Robertson (6-0, 202, 4.6) says Iowa (camp) leads big (80%) over Arizona, Colorado, Mississippi St, Texas A&M (visited) and Nebraska. All have offered except Nebraska.

"If I go to Iowa I'll have the chance to play early and I really like the coaching staff there," says Robertson. "The coaches there are more than wonderful guys and coach (Carl) Jackson has coached some great RBs. I really like the campus there--I think it would just fit me. It's not too big and not too small, and they have everything in one area.

"The people I've met there are really nice and they have one of the best offensive lines in the Big Ten. They ran the ball a lot with their old RB Fred Russell and I want to be a part of the great running tradition. And they don't predominantly rush--they pass too and I like how they mix both styles of play into their game.

"I've met with Arizona's coach (Mike) Stoops before at an Ohio St camp and he's a cool guy to work with. I've followed his progress as a coach from Oklahoma to Arizona. They are a program on the rise and they're going to be a good team. The coaches there say that they are going to run their RBs. If I were to go there I'd have the chance to play early and that's really what I'm looking at.

"Colorado has a great power offense, and they got some great spread packages in their game. Their run game is similar to ours--they lead with their FB and follow with their TB. It would be a real comfortable offense to be in.

"I don't know too much about Mississippi St. However, I do know that they have a nice coaching staff that seems real interested in me both as a player and a person. I'm going to have to see what they're all about. I feel it would be a good chemistry between the coaches the players and me. I want to be an impact player wherever I go, and if I were to go there, it would be a good opportunity to do just that.

"Texas A&M likes to run the ball too, and I know they will not discriminate against me as a freshman. Courtney Lewis got a lot of time as a player when he was a frosh and he had over 1000 yds that year. They have a nice coaching staff and it might be a good school to go to too.

"Nebraska has implemented that West Coast style offense into their game, but they do still like to run the ball. I've been interested in them since I've talked with them on the phone. They have a great offense and I really like coach (Bill) Callahan. If I were to get an offer from them and consider going there, I would have the chance to prove myself as a true freshman, and have the chance to go out there and shine. There has been no indication of an offer, and with it being this late in the year, they are kind of shaking me from them. I want to officially visit a school that is offering me."

Other offers include TCU, Baylor, UTEP and Houston.

Robertson says he will officially visit Iowa (12/17), Colorado, Arizona and Mississippi St.
