Freddie Lenix Fielding Strong Iowa Interest

Update

Cleveland (OH) ATH Fred Lenix (5-11, 195, 4.5) says Iowa and Wisconsin lead solidly over Ohio St (no offer), Michigan St (visited) and North Carolina (visited).

"Iowa is looking at me hard right now," says Lenix, from Glenville. "They put out some good players and run a great program. They caught my eye with their offer and I've liked them ever since. They are definitely recruiting me the hardest. They want to me play OLB, S or possibly RB. It really doesn't matter which position I play though. I like all of them and I wouldn't mind learning something new. I'm mostly playing MLB this season.

"Wisconsin coaches make their players work really hard and it shows on the field. They also have some cool coaches there that I'd be able to get along with. It also seems like it would be a nice place to be.

"Both Iowa and Wisconsin have different styles in how they play. Wisconsin seems to move fast on the field. And Iowa slows some things down, yet they make good plays on the field too.

"Ohio St coaches said that they're going to offer me, but that I need to stay patient and that's what I'm doing."

Other offers include Pittsburgh, Akron and Kansas. Lenix is ranked #26 among LBs in Scout.com.

He will officially visit Iowa (12/4), Ohio St (if offered), Michigan St, North Carolina and Wisconsin.
