Elijah Hodge Names Leader: Visit to Iowa on 12/10

Update on Elijah Hodge

Florida LB Elijah Hodge (6-0, 200, 4.7, Scout.com's #16 LB) now favors North Carolina State slightly over Iowa, Ohio State (visited), Florida State and Miami (visited, no offer).

The 'backer from Ft Lauderdale Dillard says, "North Carolina State has just been showing me that they want me more. They have been coming after me a lot more, and they lead slightly right now. I like coaches (John 'Doc') Holliday (WRs) and (Chuck) Amato a lot. They have one of the best defenses in the nation. I feel that I could fit in well there because I got a lot of defensive speed.

"They also have great facilities--some of the top in the nation, or so I hear. They've been calling me and writing and just keeping good contact.

"Iowa's fans are great. They treat their athletes like they are the best in the world. I fell in love with them when I went to see a couple of their games last year. I can say that they are my #2 school.

"As far as Miami goes…yeah, sure the coaches have made indications that they're going to make an offer. I'm expecting it to come but I'm not just going to wait on it.

"Duke is still up on my list…they're hanging on. I guess I wouldn't say that they're not in my top five."

Other offers include Auburn, Pittsburgh and Rutgers.

He will officially visit Ohio State (11/20), North Carolina State (12/3) and Iowa (12/10).
