"They mainly were meeting my parents for the first time, and did a good job of selling the university in the same fashion as they did to me," said Pendelton. "Coach (Urban) Meyer just signed a six year contract extension, and they have a very nice offense to play in where they spread it around."
Pendelton is not shy in letting it be known that he wants the ball thrown to him.
"I don't want to play in a smashmouth offense where the offense is oriented around the run, and I will only be thrown to once or twice a game. I want to be in an offense where I can have some fun, and go out and make some plays," stated Pendelton.
Kansas, the school he will be visiting this weekend, presents a good opporunity in his opinion.
"They need wide receivers down there," Pendelton continued. "They are some key receivers away from really taking the next step in the Big 12 as they return their quarterback. I know Dexton Fields, a red-shirt there, real well, and he is a guy I'd love to play with at wide receiver. I have Coach (Dave) Doeren coming to my house on Thursday, and he is a guy I get along with real well."
After this coming weekend, though, Pendelton has yet to set any plans.
"I have had Texas Tech in mind for the December 10th weekend, and Georgia Tech for the following weekend. Texas Tech hasn't offered yet, but he is showing a lot of interest and might do if I take a visit. I'm really unsure right now, though, as to what visits I will take," said Pendelton.
"Coach (Ron) Aiken was by my school last week, and he has mentioned coming down for an in-home visit," added Pendelton, whose senior film is much more impressive after becoming S. Garland's #1 option this fall. "He has really been trying to get me to set-up a visit, and tells me they have a winning program he'd like me to check out. They run a lot of three wide receiver sets, and need guys like me for Drew Tate to be able to spread the ball."
"Coach (Tony) Alford from Iowa State is stopping by my place on Tuesday night. I like Iowa State, and they have a chance to be real good in a couple years with how young their team is right now. They have a cornerback, DeAndre Jackson, who's father cuts my hair. They also landed Bobby Chalk last year. They were just one game away from playing in the Big 12 Championship, too," said Pendelton.
Pendelton claimed no current favorites.
