"Ken is just such a great guy," said Craig Lee, Sean's father. "We had him in for dinner, and St. Claire head coach Jim Render and his wife joined us. Ken got here around 6:30, and didn't end up leaving until after 9:30, and he still had a two hour drive to make to Canton, Ohio."
O'Keefe, who holds many connections in the state of Pennslyvania, said Lee reminds the Hawkeye staff of one of their current stars.
"He said they see a lot of Chad Greenway in Sean, and that they hope Sean can come in to replace him," added the elder Lee. "Greenway was all we watched at the Penn State game, and he is a tremendous player. Coach Ferentz, Coach O'Keefe, and everyone at Iowa just are first class people, and it is a first class program."
Sean's high school, Upper Saint Clair, is where Kirk Ferentz graduated from shortly before Jim Render became the head coach.
"Coach Render is nearing 300 victories, and he actually coached alongside Drew Tate's father down at the (Scout.com) US Army All-American game. He is a big fan of Kirk Ferentz, and would be delighted if Sean indeed chose to play at Iowa," said Craig Lee.
While Lee has received high praise from many in the business, he also has received it from those around his area.
"Coach O'Keefe told us that while he was at McKeesport doing some recruiting, their guys were telling him how tough of a player Sean was," continued Mr. Lee. "That is unusual for McKeesport guys to give guys from our school props, and Ken knew that so he was quite impressed in hearing that from those folks."
