Iowa Lands Texas Defensive Lineman

Last week, Justin Collins was an unknown to Iowa fans who closely follow recuiting. Today, he is an Iowa Hawkeye.

Tom Lemming of ESPN reported on Sunday that Iowa received a verbal commitment from All American center Rafael Eubanks of Minnesota.

Our own Josh Clark is now reporting that Justin Collins, a defensive lineman and a new name to Iowa fans last week as first reported on HawkeyeNation.com, has given Iowa his verbal commitment.

Collins' high school coach Wayne Collins emailed Clark to inform him of the commitment.

HawkeyeNation.com will speak with Justin later on today.

The two most recent commitments brings Iowa's total to 14 known verbals as of this time.

Kirk Ferentz said back in November that Iowa would likely sign "at least 20" prospects in this class.

Iowa is still involved with several high profile and highly rated prospects. In fact, they are receiving high interest from more prospects than they likely have scholarships for.

Iowa, Big Ten champions in two of the last three seasons, is putting together one of their best recruiting classes in at least a quarter century this year and will make a strong push for a Top 10 national recruiting ranking.

HawkeyeNation.com will continue to inform you of any late breaking developments, such as Steve Octavien's decision that should come sometime today.
