"It's heavy with So Cal for me," says Baskin, from Woodrow Wilson HS. "I like USC. I've never been to California. If they were to offer there'd be a heavy chance of me going to California.
"From what I understand, USC has got a great player-coach relationship thing going on and I feel that I'd be very comfortable with the kind of offense they run.
"Iowa is my #2 school. I've grown up liking them, but I've never been out there as well."
Baskin, who caught 31 balls last year and scored eight TDs, says he will try to make the JR Day at Rutgers on March 26.
He's got no plans on going to any summer camps, but he also shooting to make the Elite Combine on May 4 at Giants Stadium in New York.
"I'm real good at getting the defender away from me, and I use my feet and my hands real well," he says. "I've also got nice vision on the field. I'd really like to get stronger with my blocking skills, and I also want to just get faster so that I can really improve my game."
Baskin says Rutgers was his first offer and that Louisville, Arizona State and Oregon State have also jumped on board.
