Hawkeyes Land Another Milford Prep Running Back

Milford Academy (N.Y.) provided the Iowa Class of 2005 with a running back, well make it two straight years that the Hawkeyes have come away with a standout prep ball carrier from the New York prep school. According to Milford Head Coach [William] Chaplick The Hawkeyes have received a verbal from his prized running back, Jarvis Drayton, 5'-11" and 195 pounds.

"Actually he just committed yesterday, how's that for a scoop for you," Chaplick said.

Drayton played his high school ball at Fort Pierce (Fla.) St. Lucie West Centennial. As a junior he carried 189 times for 1,430 yards and 16 touchdowns, earning first team All-Area and second team All-State honors.

Iowa landed running back Shonn Greene from Milford in last season's class.
