One school missing from that list, oddly enough, is the Iowa State Cyclones.
"We have yet to hear from Iowa State this month, and that really strikes me as odd to why they haven't stopped by. I know Dave more than likely still plans to attend a day of camp there, but I expected them to be one of the schools to show significant interest," stated Pederson.
English, who stands at 6'5 and 285 pounds, is truly a diamond in the rough considering last season was his first season EVER of playing organized football.
"There is no question in my mind that David will not be walking on any program next year because he is a division one lineman. The only question that remains is how hard he wants it, and is willing to work for it. So far, it has been pretty good. This spring, he actually broke Marv Cook's school record in the discus, and I know he plans to play basketball next winter to get in better shape," said Pederson.
One school definitely to keep an eye on in this race is the Kansas State Wildcats. Del Miller, who recruits the area for the Wildcats, formerly lived in West Branch, and was an assitant at Iowa during the time Marv Cook played for the Hawks.
