"I'm pretty comfortable with my top three schools right now: Iowa, Michigan and USC. Right now Iowa has got the edge on them and I also like both Tennessee and Syracuse in my list of five," said Baskin, from Woodrow Wilson High School in Camden.
"I've got a pretty good relationship with coach (Darrell) Wilson (linebackers and special teams) from Iowa. Anytime I speak with him, he just makes the situation there at Iowa seem very real for me. He's done a great job at just being truthful with me through all of this," he said.
"I still haven't had the time to do that much research on both Michigan and USC. Other than those two programs being great at football, I don't know that much else about them.
"I was introduced to both coaches (Pete) Carroll and (Todd) McNair (running backs) from USC when they recently came to visit my high school. They got to speak to my coach but I didn't have any conversations with them then," he said.
"I won't take any unofficial visits or camps in this summer because I'm really focused on what's going on for the season, and training hard and stuff.
