Hawkeyes Go Hard After Ohio LB

Ohio linebacker Thaddeus Gibson (6-3, 205, 4.5) claims offers from Iowa, West Virginia, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Ohio State, Michigan, Boston College, Purdue, Bowling Green, Miami of Ohio and Akron. Right now, he says that the Hawkeyes are recruiting him the hardest.

"I don't have any real top five or leader right now," said Thaddeus Gibson, from Euclid High School.

"I know that I'm interested in Ohio State, Miami (no offer), Iowa and Michigan.

"Iowa is recruiting me the hardest right now. I get handwritten letters from coach (Ken) O'Keefe (off coord/quarterbacks) every day.

"The coaches at Miami send me a lot of text messages, but I don't know if they're going to end up offering me," he said.

"Some schools that I know, at this point, I want to take official trips to are Miami, if they offer, Iowa and Ohio State."

Gibson has unofficially visited Michigan and went to USC's camp as well.

"The coaches at USC sent me an invite so I went. I just wanted to check it out and see what it was like over there. I don't think that it's a school that I'd want to attend--it's just too far," he said.

"I want to take some official visits and commit to a school in late fall.

"I've got some great speed and quickness, and I want to just work on getting bigger and stronger."
