"Everything just reinforced what I had thought about Iowa, and I feel even better about being a Hawkeye than I did before," A.J. Edds said. "There weren't any recruiting pitches, it was just a natural atmosphere. I got to see the coaches outside of work as regular people. I was never worried about them in the first place, but they are great guys."
After eating breakfast at the home of Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz on Sunday morning, Edds found himself going up against members of the Iowa coaching staff.
"I was playing Coach (Ken) O'Keefe in a game of pool, but then Coach (Phil) Parker had to butt in. I guess Coach Parker is a pool shark. Then, I was playing Coach (Eric) Johnson in a game of air hockey, and Coach (Lester) Erb had to challenge me in the game, too. It was just fun being around all of them," Edds stated.
