Moore Still Eyeing Iowa

Iowa Hawkeye defensive line coach Ron Aiken, Iowa's primary recruiter in the state of Texas, made his way to Everman High School yesterday afternoon to meet with cornerback prospect Maurice Moore

"Coach Aiken came by the school, and told me from Coach Ferentz to everyone else on the staff that I was really wanted," Moore stated.

"The main reason he was in town, though, was to meet my father as he wasn't able to the first time he came down. My dad works nights so Coach Aiken went to my house to meet him while I was at school. Coach Aiken said that Coach Ferentz would be coming down after my Wisconsin visit."

The Hawkeyes, who hosted Moore on an official visit back on December 16th, strength and conditioning program is what has caught Moore's attention the most, thus far.

"Iowa has a great strength and conditioning program, and they develop their players real good when they get there. They make you bigger, faster, and stronger. There is a winning tradition there," Moore stated.

Wisconsin figures to be the team Iowa will fight for Moore's signature. Earlier this week, Moore says he heard from the newest addition to Coach Bielema's staff at Wisconsin.

"Kerry Cooks called me, and told me he is now with Wisconsin after coaching at Minnesota," said Moore, who is being recruited as a quarterback by the Badgers. "He said that he coached with Coach Bielema at Kansas State, and now that he likes a quarterback. Nobody from Wisconsin has mentioned anything else than quarterback. Coaches from Wisconsin are supposed to be at my place on Saturday."

Moore listed two reasons why he is currently interested in Wisconsin.

"They are a Big Ten conference school, and they are coming off a big bowl win," Moore stated.
